Questions people ask
Can I send flowers to a maternity ward?
Yes — regular maternity and postpartum rooms accept flowers. Neonatal intensive care does not. If the baby is in NICU, send to the family home instead, or call us and we will hold the arrangement.
Should the flowers be unscented?
Yes, it is the safer choice. Heavily perfumed lilies are the ones most often moved out into a corridor. Our new baby arrangements are chosen with this in mind.
What do I put in the order notes?
The mother’s full name as on her admission, the ward and room number, and a mobile number. Hospitals will not search by the baby’s name.
Pink or blue?
Neither is required. Yellows, greens and creams read as celebratory without guessing, and they suit a hospital room better than strong colour.
Is a basket better than a bouquet?
In a hospital, yes — a basket arrives ready to place and the ward has no vases. At home either works.
