Manhattan Beach walk streets have no vehicle access. The driver parks and walks in, sometimes several blocks, and the house numbering is not always readable from the entrance to the street.
Two details make it work every time: a mobile number for the recipient, and — if the house is on the Strand — a note about whether the entrance faces the beach or the alley. Strand houses frequently have two doors and only one of them is used.
